Shipping from Türkiye to an Amazon FBA Warehouse

An Amazon FBA shipment requires a completed shipment plan, product and carton labels, warehouse address, importer arrangement and customs documents before booking.

What should be clarified first?

An Amazon fulfilment centre is not an ordinary customer address. Appointment, contents or label mismatches can cause refusal even after transport is complete.

Marketplace shipments require platform compliance as well as transport planning. Carton labels, product labels, shipment plans, warehouse appointments and seller-console data should follow the same operational plan.

Planning the process step by step

Finalise the Seller Central plan, match each carton’s contents and place FNSKU and box labels correctly. Resolve importer and tax arrangements in advance.

  1. Take the warehouse code and address from the latest shipment plan.
  2. Remove every old carrier and Amazon label from cartons.
  3. Tell the carrier about fulfilment-centre delivery and appointment requirements.

Factors that affect cost and transit time

Do not compare quotes only by the first transport price shown. Dimensional weight, remote-area service, fuel, customs presentation, additional handling and local-delivery conditions can change the total. Estimated transit time can also vary with booking cut-off, flight or line-haul capacity, weekends and customs review.

FBA cost includes preparation, labels, pallets, customs, tax and rejection risk in addition to freight. Measure landed cost per unit against carton utilisation.

Documents and destination checks

Commercial shipments should have an invoice or proforma with a clear product name, quantity, unit value, total value, currency, origin and purpose. Verify the consignee name, telephone, email, full address and postal code before booking. Check separately whether the product or destination requires an approval or permit.

Common mistakes to avoid

Common problems include estimating dimensions, using a vague content description, understating value or omitting consignee contact details. Another mistake is treating transit time as flight time alone and ignoring customs clearance and final-mile delivery.

Naming Amazon as importer, adding unplanned units or placing labels over carton seams are critical errors.

A short pre-shipment checklist

  • Measure the parcel’s actual weight and three outer dimensions again.
  • Match the product description, quantity and value against the documents.
  • Verify the consignee address, postal code and contact channels.
  • Check the destination’s current acceptance and import requirements.

Before sealing, complete a four-part check of plan, quantity, labels and invoice.

Important note: Carrier and customs rules can change by product, route and date. Confirm the current requirements before booking; this guide is not a substitute for case-specific customs or legal advice.
